Glitz and Glam - A Night on the Runway: Mahota at the OKIE State of Style Fashion Show
The OKlahoma Israel Exchange was created in 1992 when Oklahoma’s Governor Walters and the Israeli Consul General signed a joint declaration based on a venture that encompassed an entourage of over 20 participants from Oklahoma who journeyed to Israel. OKIE was formed and the common bond remains from both states prevailing over tragedy and despair.
Mahota Textiles had the opportunity to take a glimpse into the history of the Israeli fashion world. The night permeated with lights, cameras, and action moments with oohs and aaahs from the crowd on hand. Several Oklahoma dignitaries, including former Governors and Miss Oklahoma Ashleigh Robinson, were also present. The event titled “#stateofstyle…Israel’s modern and fashionable history” was sponsored by the OKlahoma Israel Exchange (OKIE).
Runway models exhibited bits and pieces from Israel’s fashion history while the audience learned about the impact the garments have on today’s fashion world. Who knows? It may not be too much longer before we see Mahota Textiles on the catwalk! Until then, we shall continue to learn more about becoming fashionistas.
